Jake Perry is of Counsel to Liberty Partners Group and is the founder and principal of Jake Perry + Partners, a government affairs and strategic advisory firm.
With nearly 20 years of political experience, he advises clients on policy, process and politics. Jake has worked with a wide variety of clients in multiple issue areas including health care, tax, insurance, financial services, transportation and technology.
Jake served as a senior political advisor and confidante to U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid for more than a decade. He began his service to the Majority Leader during his 1998 campaign and later returned in 2007 to become Executive Director of the Majority Leader’s Leadership PAC. In 2011, he helped launch Senate Majority PAC, the Senate focused Super PAC.
Prior to joining the Majority Leader, Jake led the finance operations on the successful campaigns of Senator Byron Dorgan (D-ND) in 2004 and Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) in 2006. Both campaigns set record fundraising totals for their respective election cycles. Jake holds the distinction of never having worked for a losing candidate.
In 2016, Jake was appointed by Washington, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser to serve on the Alcohol Beverage Control Board, an independent body that adjudicates, administers and enforce alcoholic beverage laws in Washington, DC. Jake also serves on the Board of Trustees for the American Council of Young Political Leaders.
He graduated with a B.S. in Political Science from East Carolina University. Jake resides in Washington, DC with his wife Amanda.
