Lisa Mulcrone brings more than three decades of experience in public service, communications, and higher education to Liberty Partners. Currently, she serves as Senior Advisor to U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow, coordinating the Senator’s communications, advance work, research, daily schedule, and public appearances. She also served as the Senator’s Deputy Scheduler during her Senate career and played a central role in the transition and closure of her office following her retirement.

Earlier in her career, Lisa worked for Senate Finance Chairman Don Riegle and Ways and Means Chairman Sander Levin, working in communications, community relations, and managing constituent casework.

In between her two stints working for Members of Congress, Lisa spent more than 23 years at Michigan State University, where she was a director of communications and longtime creator and editor of MSUToday, the university’s central online magazine and weekly e-newsletter. She participated in an eight-week trip to remote locations around the world to highlight MSU’s role in life-changing research and partnerships. In these positions, she led strategic communications initiatives, strengthened the university’s brand, authored more than 500 articles, and launched key platforms to reach broad audiences.

Her extensive experience spans legislative policy, public speaking, media and public relations, storytelling, content creation, and event planning.

Known as a professional “Swiss Army knife,” Lisa combines adaptability with deep knowledge of government, communications, and public engagement. She is a proud graduate of Michigan State University.
